“Ballet Director, Cathy Marston, is inspired this time from Milan Kundera's cult novel "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" (1984) . The result is "Flight of Gravity" - an atmospheric choreography that explores concepts of incompatible love. (...) But how to adequately get the inner conflict of Kundera's characters to the stage? Marston employs a dramatic trick: she divides Tomas' character as well as that of Teresa and Sabina between three dancers each. By multiplying these figures, they gain in psychological depth, and open a seemingly limitless range of interactions that may even develop simultaneously. In this way, scenes, of magic stir the heart.”

“A thrilling sight...What the Camerata Bern and the Bern Ballet bring together on stage, has class. ...the dance themes that Cathy Marston create for her protagonists are tailored to the body, reading vividly and ambiguously. This makes the exchange exciting.”
